Common Ground

As a community with a strong interest in the natural world, a group of congregants has been working to cultivate connections with nature, Jewish tradition, and each other through hikes, hands-on workshops, and other outdoor gatherings. Rabbi Emily Mathis has led Common Ground outings to the Lake Williams Boardwalk in Marlborough, Garden in the Woods in Framingham, a maple sugaring program in Natick, and a heron hike in Weston. In the coming year, we’re planning visits to deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Forest Hills Cemetery, and Lake Cochituate—and perhaps more!

Outings will be listed in the BTM newsletter, and you’re welcome to email Rabbi Emily at to join the planning group!
