This week’s Torah portion, Miketz (Genesis 44:1-44:17), begins with Pharaoh’s unsettling dreams. When no one can explain them, Joseph is brought up from prison to interpret their meaning, and his insight leads Pharaoh to place him in a position of real power as years of famine approach. The famine eventually brings Joseph’s brothers to Egypt in search of food, setting up an unexpected and complicated reunion that will unfold in the chapters ahead. The first link is to the Sefaria website, and this link will take you to the Torah section of the Reform Judaism website.

Whether you’re a regular Torah reader or new to study, everyone is welcome. Enjoy bagels and coffee—and engaging discussion!

All are welcome; no background in Torah study or Hebrew is needed.
