BTM and COA are pleased to partner with Rabbi Marcia Plumb this spring to offer a two-session introductory course on the study of Mussar. During this Foundations course, students will have the opportunity to dive deeply into the study of a single Middah (individual character trait). The course will introduce the concept and practice of Mussar study and is a great opportunity to get a taste of this ancient life-enhancing spiritual practice.
Rabbi Plumb has taught Mussar for over 30 years. She is currently the Director of Jewish Life and Partnerships at the Rashi School in Dedham, MA. Prior to that, she was the Head Rabbi of Congregation Mishkan Tefila in Brookline, MA for over a decade.
