In Parashat Tetzaveh (Exodus 27:20−30:10) the Torah turns from building sacred space to caring for it — through the priestly garments, the tending of light, and the rituals that sustained daily life in the Mishkan. Strikingly, this is the only parashah in which Moses’ name does not appear. The focus shifts away from charismatic leadership and toward steady service, responsibility, and presence. Tetzaveh invites us to consider another kind of leadership: the kind that shows up quietly, tends the flame, and keeps sacred life going day after day.
This link is the Sefaria website for Tetzaveh, and this link will take you to the page for Tetzaveh at the Reform Judaism website.
Whether you’re a regular Torah reader or new to study, everyone is welcome. Enjoy bagels and coffee—and engaging discussion!
