The B’nai Torah and Or Atid Sisterhoods invite you on a private, docent-led museum tour at the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute of the exhibit “As It Were, Suspended in Midair” by Hannah Altman. Altman’s photographs examine how Jewish myths are shared, inherited, and reshaped across the diaspora. Altman draws from Yiddish literature and Jewish mystical texts as she situates her female protagonists in lush landscapes and fraught interiors. Her photographs portray lineage, folklore, memory, and narrative.
Join us after the tour for an optional coffee discussion at a nearby cafe in Waltham.
